Barbara Kożuch
Professor, Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland.
Professor of Economic Sciences at Jagiellonian University in Kraków and specialist in Organisation Theory and Public Management. Principal fields of interest and specialisation: foundations of management sciences, systems and methods of management, project management and human resource management, multicultural management, conditions of efficient functioning of the public sector, particularly in regards to change management in health care, education, culture, and public safety. The Editor-in-Chief of the "International Journal of Contemporary Management" and a member of Scientific Board of "Journal of Intercultural Management". A member of the Committee of Organisation and Management of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2007-2015). Prof. B. Kożuch is well-renowned in Poland and abroad for her expertise in public management issues. She has been the keynote speaker at various international conferences. In the beginning of her career she was an employee in the co-operative sector and in small business and through this experience developed a passion for management. After defending Ph.D. thesis in 1985 she became an academic and for several years combined scientific work with being a top-level manager in The Primus inter Pares Foundation. In 2000 she awarded the full professorship.
In 2002 she initiated systematic research and teaching on public management in Poland. In 2008-2016 she was the Deputy Director of the Institute of Public Affairs of Jagiellonian University. She is a co-founder of the IRSPM Conference Panel entitled "Trust-based management in the public sector" (since 2015). She is the author, co-author, or editor of nearly 400 works, including 40 books mostly published in Polish.
