Dr. Barbara Bennett Peterson is an Emeritus Professor of History at the University of Hawaii and a former Fellow at the East-West Center. She has been a Professor of History at Oregon State University and California State University San Bernardino, Palm Desert. Dr. Peterson is Nova Science Publisher’s series editor for the book series titled First Men, America’s Presidents. Several of her books have been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in History and Biography and she has received numerous book awards such as the Dartmouth Medal in conjunction with other editors on the American National Biography. She is a Distinguished Alumnae of the University of Hawaii, 1997.
