Ashot A. Khachaturyan graduated with honors from the Department of Economics of the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Department of Economic Cybernetics), and completed his post-graduate studies at the same department.

In 1980 he defended his candidate thesis (PhD in economics), and in 1988 he received the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences. In 2002 he became a professor.

Since 2001 he is a visiting professor at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (Corporate Governance, Finance and Banking Departments) and at the Moscow State University (Public Administration Department) where he teaches courses on MBA and Human Capital Management.

Нe is the author of 9 monographs and more than 70 publications in scientific journals published in the USA, Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic and other countries in addition to Russia.
