António M. Jordão is currently Assistant Professor of Oenology at Polytechnic Institute of Viseu, Agrarian Higher School (Department of Food Industries). He is graduated in Agro-Industrial Engineering and has a Master in Food Science and Technology from Technical University of Lisbon. In 2006, obtained a PhD in “Agro-Industrial Engineering” at Agronomy Higher Institute of Technical University of Lisbon. The main research interests are phenolic compounds in grapes and wines in respect to the ageing of wines, wine technology, and the use of oak wood and other potential new woods in oenology. He is author/co author of 30 articles in peer reviewer scientific journals, co author of two book chapters and author/co author of 60 communications in scientific congress. He also develops consultancy services to wine companies in terms of phenolic composition of grapes and wines.
