Ann F. Varela is an instructor of Mathematical Sciences at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico. She has a B.S. degree and an M.A. degree from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Varela has been teaching undergraduate-level mathematics and statistics courses for over 20 years and is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She has co-authored a book entitled The Life and Times of the World’s Most Famous Mathematicians, and has co-authored other books with her husband, Manuel F. Varela. She is also a contributor to an educational newsletter called “EducationViews.” She currently lives in Portales, New Mexico.
