Dr. Anju Beniwal holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and Master's and NET degrees in Anthropology and Sociology. Currently, she works as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Govt. Meera Girls College, Udaipur, India. She has nine books, more than fifty publications and has participated in more than sixty conferences, not only in India but abroad (Hungary, Japan, Vienna and Canada) also. She is Board Member of ISA (RC13), and a Reviewer and Associate Editor of the International Journal of the Sociology of Leisure (IJSL). She edited “Global Leisure and the Struggle for a Better World” and “Positive Sociology of Leisure Contemporary Perspectives,” published by Palgrave in the UK.
