Dr. Amit Kumar Nayak is an accomplished academic and researcher with over 17 years of experience in teaching and industrial research. He currently serves as the Principal and Professor at the MATS School of Pharmacy, MATS University, Raipur. His expertise lies in the field of pharmacology, with a particular focus on preclinical evaluation techniques, toxicology, pharmacokinetics, and the development of anticancer and anti-diabetic drugs.

Dr. Nayak’s educational background includes a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from OPJS University, Churu, Rajasthan (2017). He completed his Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) in Pharmacology from B. N. College of Pharmacy, Udaipur, Rajasthan (2007), and holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) degree from B. R. Nahata College of Pharmacy, Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh (2003).

With a diverse professional experience that spans both academic and industrial sectors, Dr. Nayak has dedicated over 7 years to industrial research. He has written and published more than forty articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals and contributed to numerous book chapters and textbooks. Additionally, Dr. Nayak has been granted five patents in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.

In recognition of his contributions to the field of pharmacy education, Dr. Nayak was honored with the ‘Best Pharmacy Teacher of the Year Award’ at the SRIJAN-2019 by the Sister Nivedita Technical Education Society, Madhya Pradesh.
