Dr. Yehya is an advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and heart transplant Cardiologist at Piedmont Heart Institute. Prior to joining Piedmont Heart, he completed his Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation fellowship at Stanford University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Emory University and his Cardiovascular Diseases fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Yehya earned his Master’s Degree in Biochemistry and his Medical Degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. Dr. Yehya is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology.Dr. Yehyais a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and a council member in Clinical Cardiology at the American Heart Association. He is an active member of numerous professional societies including the Heart Failure Society of America, the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, and Alpha-Omega-Alpha honors medical society. Dr. Yehya has published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work in regional and national conferences. His specialties include advanced heart failure, heart transplantation, pulmonary hypertension, cardiomyopathy, and mechanical circulatory support.
