Amal Bakr Shori was born in Saudi Arabia. After receiving her bachelor's degree in biology, she was awarded a full scholarship from King Abdul Allah Grant (Saudi Arabia) to pursue her M.Sc. in biotechnology and a Ph.D. in food biotechnology at the University of Malaya, Malaysia. Currently, Dr. Shori is working as an associate professor at King Abdulaziz University, Faculty of Science, Department of Biological Sciences, Saudi Arabia. Her research interests include functional food, dairy products, and food toxicity.
