Alison Chu: Dr. Chu is a clinician scientist in the Division of Neonatology at UCLA. Her research interests include understanding the in utero mechanisms that underlie developmental programming of cardiovascular disease. To understand these in-utero environmental factors and the effect they may have on the fetus, Dr. Chu studies the placenta utilizing both basic science and translational research techniques. In addition, she is passionate about both clinical care and medical education. She has authored several review articles, as well as published original science in her field of interest. She has served as guest editor and editorial fellow for pediatric/neonatology-focused journals.
