Professor Alexander V. Sirotkin, PhD., DrSc. was born February 13, 1954 in Leningrad. He held a studentship at the Faculty of Biology, State University of Leningrad, Russia (biology), PhD studentship in Research Institute of Evolutionary Physiology and Biochemistry, Leningrad, Russia (embryology and biochemistry), DrSc studentship at the Research Institute of Animal Production, Nitra, Slovakia (agriculture) + research training and fellowships in totally 11 countries. Currently he is working as professor in the Constantin the Philosopher University, Nitra, Slovakia. He is a specialist in animal and human physiology, endocrinology, cellular physiology, intracellular signaling and molecular biology. A.V. Sirotkin coordinated 13 international and national projects. He has more than 680 publications. A.V. Sirotkin is a recipient of 10 international awards. Current research interest include, extra- and intracellular regulators of female reproduction, mechanisms of effect of nutrition on reproduction, metabolic, endocrine and intracellular control of endocrine and reproductive system.
