Alan E. Singer is a Professor at the Walker College of Business, Appalachian State University, Boone, USA. He was the James E. Holshouser Distinguished Professor in Ethics at Appalachian from 2008 to 2013 and the John L. Aram Professor of Ethics at Gonzaga University 2004-5. Previously he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Management at the University of Canterbury (New Zealand) and a lecturer at the Victoria University of Wellington. Prior to that he worked for Emile Woolf & Associates in London. Alan is a graduate of The Queens College Oxford, Birkbeck College London and Canterbury University. He has authored numerous academic articles and several books including Strategy as Rationality (Avebury), Integrating Ethics & Strategy (World Scientific) and Business Ethics in the 21st Century: Stability and Change (Nova).
