Dr. Akhtar Kalam has been at Victoria University (VU) since 1985. He is a former Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Health, Engineering and Science and Head of Engineering. Currently, he is the Head of External Engagement. His major areas of interests are power system analysis, communication, control, protection, renewable energy, smart grid, IEC61850 implementation and cogeneration systems.
