Dr. Hakro holds a doctorate in Economics and worked with Glasgow University, UK, University of Nizwa, and the Middle East College in Oman, Quaid-e-Azam University, and the University of Sindh, Pakistan. Dr Hakro has research interests in Macroeconomics, International and Development Economics. He has extended his advisory and consultancy services to UNDP Kuwait-Supreme Council for Planning and Development, State of Kuwait, FAO-Cairo, Asian Development Bank-Government of Sindh, Commonwealth Foundation, UK, USAID, and other national and international organizations. Dr. Hakro’ s research appears in the Journal of Developing Areas, Journal of Economic Cooperation and Development, International Journal of Applied Nonlinear Sciences, Asian Journal of Water, Environment and Pollution, Lahore Journal of Economics, Middle Eastern Finance and Economics, International Journal of Finance and Economics, Journal of Development and Security and in Advances in Management among others.
