Dr. A.C. Udayashankar presently works as Assistant Professor at the Department of Studies in Biotechnology, University of Mysore in India. He earned his PhD from the University of Mysore in Biotechnology and has been actively involved in microbial biotechnology and molecular plant pathology research for the past twelve years. He has expertise in the area of molecular diagnostics of viral, fungal and bacterial plant pathogens. His area of interest includes understanding host pathogen interaction for management of plant diseases through eco-friendly and synthesized chemicals. His research work has been published in national and international peer-reviewed journals. He has contributed to many edited books in the field of plant and microbial biotechnology.
