My Nova book publications to date have focused on health systems research and chronic illness management/self-management. My last book on Rural Health in Australia combined both scientific research, health systems change strategies and more personal accounts of rural life in Australia and the disparity in health outcomes between city and metropolitan communities.
Since retiring from my academic position and building on the ideas in my Rural Health book, I have been concentrating on writing essays and creative pieces that deal with the changing social and political conditions around the world today and our quest as a larger society for a more sustainable way to live on the planet and develop as an integrated society.
It is my aim to compile the best of this work into both scientific format and creative prose to explore future options for humanity in the light of both historical factors and emerging challenges.
