Book Review
The book, Underutilized Crops and Their Value Addition, is comprised of 30 chapters. These chapters cover most of the underutilized crops, mainly millets, which are very important from a nutrition point of view. There is limited literature available on these crops, as such, this compiled book will be of immense importance. I was excited to see the uniform pattern that has been followed in all chapters with a special discussion on the development of various food products. I believe this is an important book which is going to get published at the time when nutritional security is being debated at a global level. I am sure this book will be very helpful to students, researchers, scientists and policy makers. Moreover, it will serve as an excellent teaching material, as well as a guiding tool for researchers working on underutilized crops. – Sajad Majeed Zargar, PhD, Assistant Professor, Division of Plant Biotechnology, Skuast-K, India
