This book was reprinted from a public document and records from the US Government. It is a collection of hearings that took place in Washington DC by the Committee on Education and the Workforce, U.S. House of Representatives on September 30th 2003.

This book examines how drinking in youth affects short and long-term thinking and memory skills as well as causes problems such as unwanted sex, health consequences such as accidents, injuries, or overdoses. This book also discusses the withdrawal effects, gender differences and the implications of drinking, such as altered brain development, and the higher likelihood of alcohol problems as an adult. It also explores the co-dependency that many teenage drinkers have with marijuana and provides suggestions on how to reduce the number of underage, teenage drinkers.
