Reviews
“The book is impressive and does not leave the reader indifferent. The chapter “Fundamentals of Mechanics” provides some very important definitions. The author’s non-hypothesis approach outlined in the chapters on the gravitational and electromagnetic interactions has greatly amazed me as a graduate of Moscow Physico-Engineering Institute with the uncompromising nature of conclusions. In the chapter “Ways of Society Development” everything is written in a correct and emotional manner. I fully support the author. In general, I believe that the book will be very useful to the reader. The author clearly deserves high praise as a versatile and profound erudite, a true scientist, and a caring citizen.” – Vladislav G. Polnikov, D.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics, Leading Scientist, Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia
“Professor Smulsky advocates the removal of hypotheses from modern science and stands for the return to determinism in mechanics and electrodynamics. I very much appreciate this approach as an important step towards the overcome of metaphysical speculations and achieving progress. The book provides examples of how this goal can be achieved and describes the benefits that will result.” – Walter Babin, Independent Researcher, Founder of the General Science Journal, Canada
“The cultural and material development of mankind is based on ideas that have arisen due to the brainpower of individuals and have penetrated into the consciousness of societies. In this historical process and, especially, under modern conditions, it is important to hear those who try to disagree with the mainstream science (scientific dissidents), who are able to see the weaknesses of their time and propose new paths. The author of this work points to the need to revise the foundations of fundamental science about the world, since he connects science with the understanding of tasks faced by mankind and the search of new paths for its development. The author’s monologue, addressed to the modern reader, contains provisions of fundamental importance concerning the foundations of mechanics, electrodynamics and gravitodynamics. At the same time, the author is filled with anxiety and shares his thoughts about our common future with the reader, discussing the role of science and education, and the moral principles of mankind, which feature undoubtedly presents an attractive side of the book.” – Vladislav V. Cheshev, D.Sc. in Philosophy, Professor, National Research Tomsk State University, Tomsk, Russia
“In terms of the range of the issues considered and the method of their coverage, this book written by the outstanding scientist Joseph Smulsky titled “Main Tasks of Future Fundamental Science” is a unique work. The author begins with a thoughtful analysis of the basic principles of mechanics and a hypothesis-free method of obtaining knowledge about the world. This is followed by chapters that show the real nature and form of gravitational and electromagnetic interactions and convincingly proves the inconsistency of many presumptions used in modern physical theories, in particular, in the Theory of Relativity. At the same time, unsolved problems that require further research are highlighted. The next chapter is devoted to a new concept of climate fluctuations, which, according to the author, are based on the interactions in the Solar System and the resulting changes in solar heat reaching Earth. Chapters five and six describe the rational structure and management of society and outline paths for future scientific development, containing original and valuable ideas and suggestions. The book ends with a chapter discussing the fictional objects of modern physics and proposing methods for improving science, which have begun to emerge from recent discussions among various researchers. Modern cosmology puts forward absurd and contradictory hypotheses such as the Big Bang, inflation, dark matter, dark energy, and the like. One can only admire Professor Smulski’s style and presentation: everything is insightful, precise, clear, logical, and definitive. I strongly recommend that anyone who wants to know how the physical world really works and is interested in the development of humanity and science should carefully study this extraordinary book.” – Borislaw Vankov,Independent Researcher, Sofia, Bulgaria
Contemporary fundamental science has populated the micro- and macro-worlds with fantastic objects and phenomena, such as neutrinos, bosons, gravitons, quarks, the Big Bang, black holes, gravitational waves, superstrings, dark energy, and others. These objects appear in science thanks to the hypotheses that scientists accept to explain the world they do not understand.
The monograph uses a non-hypothesis method of studying the surrounding world. Mechanics is the basis of knowledge about the world. This is the science of the movements and interactions of bodies. The fundamental principles of mechanics are formulated in the book. The structure of the world and its functioning are due to the gravitational interactions. The main laws of those interactions and some related problems are considered. Such space objects as planetary systems, star clusters and galaxies exist due to the interaction of N bodies. Exact solutions to the N-body problem, as well as the results of numerical solution of this problem, are described. All movements in the Solar system are explained by Newton’s law of gravitation. The structure of the micro-world and its existence are due to the electromagnetic interactions. A new law for the force of interaction of two charged particles moving relative to each other is substantiated. It is shown that all interactions and movements of charged particles are determined by this law, and not by the relativistic change in mass. The gravitational and electromagnetic interactions allow us to comprehend the real world. This world is strikingly different from the modern scientific picture of the world, built on hypotheses. Long-term variations of Earth’s climate were established on the non-hypothesis basis. These variations determine the known changes in paleoclimate and explain them. The monograph formulates the forthcoming tasks of fundamental science. The final chapter of the book refutes the concept of fictitious objects of science and proposes directions for improving science, established through discussions that have taken place in recent years.
This book presents the foundations of a new fundamental science that studies the world around us rather than building it on hypotheses. It is intended for a wide range of readers across various disciplines and ages.
