Inflammation is a complex response in the vascularized connective tissue that occurs due to exogenous and endogenous stimuli. When the inflammatory process is poorly controlled, it may cause massive tissue destruction and a series of chain reactions. This book examines the anti-inflammatory activities and the toxic properties of certain plants. It details plants that are common in Chinese and Iranian traditional herbal medicine and clarifies the role and mechanisms of natural components for treatment of inflammatory diseases.
