ABSTRACT

Numerous intervention strategies that are based on various principles are available for autistic intervention, including naturalistic, developmental, behavioral, and blended strategies. However, some of these intervention techniques may help some autistic children while being entirely ineffective for other autistic populations. As a result, speech-language pathologists may need clarification when choosing intervention strategies. The difference in intervention effective-ness among the autism population is because of their heterogeneity. Therefore, it is vital to comprehend the standard therapeutic procedures used in a given area. A survey was carried out among speech-language pathologists operating in different parts of India to obtain insights into the therapeutic approaches utilized in the country. The responses were derived from eight regions of India, stating the age of intervention as early as two years and below; PECS, COMDEALL, and AVAZ were considered to be the most preferred intervention.
