Poor resource efficiency in the built environment sector has long been recognised as a significant barrier to achieving sustainable development goals. Each year, vast quantities of waste materials are landfilled globally, resulting in substantial environmental, social, and economic repercussions. In recent years, the circular economy has gained prominence as a transformative approach to enhancing waste management in this sector, receiving heightened attention from both governments and industry stakeholders. This concept advocates for prolonged and more frequent material cycles, thereby reducing waste generation and improving resource efficiency.

The integration of products with recycled content (PwRC) in construction projects plays a pivotal role in advancing these objectives. This book explores effective strategies designed to empower key stakeholders in the built environment sector to champion the adoption of PwRC.
