ABSTRACT

The aim of this review is to educate the physician and clinical team to be able to use the techniques of point of care ultrasound (POCUS) to assist in diagnosis of pediatric pulmonary pathology including pneumonia, pleural effusions, pneumothorax, and heart failure. A brief introduction of the basics of POCUS is provided followed by its application to pediatric pulmonology to help train skillful physicians.
