ABSTRACT

The negative impact of behavioral problems in children and adolescents with respiratory conditions is considered in this discussion. Behavioral concerns are explored in children and youth with various pulmonary problems including asthma, sleep-disordered breathing, cystic fibrosis, tuberculosis, upper respiratory infections, COVID-19 infection, and effects of air pollution. It is important for parents, school personnel and clinicians to be aware of these potential problems and provide preventive as well as management strategies to help these pediatric persons and their families.
