The last decade has seen widespread study of the relationship between tourism and the environment, given the growing importance of this sector in the economic development of many countries and regions. The potential of environmental resources as tourist resources and the impact of tourism on these resources are an open research area and, because of its social and economic impact, arouse great interest among social stakeholders.

It is necessary to understand and measure their mutual influence in order to achieve positive mutual links between tourism and the environment, developing theoretical models and applications, and analyzing their economic and social sustainability. This book is a collection of papers addressing the interaction between tourism and the environment through several disciplines, a multidisciplinary perspective, and different theoretical and methodological approaches. The aim of the authors is to present the wide range of current research and promote debate and analysis on this research. (Imprint: Nova)
