ABSTRACT

The use of psychopharmacologic agents for pediatric persons with mental health conditions has undergone increasing research in the past few decades. Studies have shown that there are differences between children and adults in the efficacy and safety of these medications. Drugs that are reviewed include antidepressants, anti-psychotics and medications used to manage attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, both stimulants and non-stimulants.
