ABSTRACT

Professor Yao obtained his Bachelor Degree in Biology at the Hangzhou University, and a Master Degree at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Due to his strong passion in science, he then obtained a Ph.D. at the department of Biological Sciences in The State University of New York at Buffalo. He is currently working as a Professor in the School of Biomedical Sciences at CUHK, and his work focuses on Calcium signaling and ion channels.
