ABSTRACT

Professor Kwok Fai Lau obtained his PhD in Biochemistry at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1998. He then joined Professor Christopher CJ Miller’s group at Institute of Psychiatry (London, UK) in 1999. In 2007, he returned to his Alma mater as Assistant Professor at the Department of Biochemistry. Professor Lau is now an Associate Professor in the School of Life Sciences at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The two main reasons that influence him to do this job are first as his parental family live in Hong Kong; he wants to stay close with them. Second, as he was educated in Hong Kong, he wants to make contributions to the local education system.
