ABSTRACT

Professor Wise is currently a professor at the school of Biomedical Sciences, the Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2009. In 1976, Prof. Wise graduated from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom with Honours and obtained her bachelor degree. In 1979, Prof. Wise obtained a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Bath in the UK. From 1979 – 1991, Prof. Wise was a research scientist in the Glaxo Group Research Ltd. in Greenford in the UK. From 1991 – 1995 and 1995 – 2002, Prof. Wise was an assistant professor and an associate professor respectively, both in the department of Pharmacology in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. From 2002 – 2009, Prof. Wise took on the title as a professor in the Department of Pharmacology, in the Chinese University of Hong Kong before the Department of Pharmacology merged with other pre-clinical departments to form the School of Biomedical Sciences.
