ABSTRACT
Professor Albert Cheung graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and completed his Ph.D. and postdoctoral fellowship in the United States. He has been working in CUHK for one and a half year as a Research Assistant Professor. Attracted by the promising return in the development of stem cell technology, he started his research on stem cells at postdoc in 2010. Throughout these few years, he is pleased to have witnessed numerous breakthroughs in stem cell research one after another. He truly believes that stem cell development improves the quality of life through medical applications such as cell-based therapy and disease modeling. Moreover, stem cell research facilitates the development of stem cell-based pharmacology and toxicology.
