Hypertension is the most common chronic disease in developed societies, affecting >25% of adults. Chapter One analyzes the current evidence about exercise and hypertension. In Chapter Two, a mesh free numerical scheme was proposed, with the aim to resolve the Navier-Stokes equations for the blood flow through the aorta artery with aneurysm disease. Chapter Six discusses how patients who were diagnosed with cirrhosis had higher concentrations of NT pro-BNP if they had left ventricular diastolic dysfunction. The authors discuss how NT pro-BNP might be a useful early marker of cardiomyopathy in patients with cirrhosis. Finally, Chapter Seven helps the reader to understand a patient’s experience of undergoing a CATH procedure, particularly the psychological aspect of the procedure and the lived experience of patients undergoing a CATH.
