Athletes such as those on the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA) Tour are role models. Until the creation of LIV Golf, multiple golf tours around the world competed in a commercial marketplace dictated by the normal market forces of profit and loss. LIV is funded by a company committed to competing for top players with little expectation of a direct financial return.
