Diagnosis of early grades of urinary bladder cancers remains poor despite many efforts and advances done in this direction all over the world. Late diagnosis causes longer, painful, less effective and more expensive therapy. Therefore, many centers continue concentrating on working out a non-invasive method of computer analysis of specimens obtained from urine.

The positive result of this approach would enable for screening examinations of high risk population, that is, men over 50 and women over 60, as well as in following progression or involution in the course of a therapy in a noninvasive way. This book presents a digital image analysis of specimens obtained from urine and with bladder washing technique, along with a selection of features suitable for characterization of the neoplastic process.
