This book contains 13 chapters. It deals with diabetic foot syndrome from the multidisciplinary point of view of several experts: a vascular surgeon, diabetologist, surgeon, podiatrist, radiologist, neurologist, and anesthesiologist. The introductory chapters have the character of propaedeutics, which is also important for pre-graduate education. The following chapters deal with the origin of the syndrome, its occurrence, its diagnosis, therapeutic procedures, associated neurological disorders, and the care of a podiatrist and an anesthesiologist when pain persists. Other parts are reserved for surgical and endovascular arterial treatment by vascular surgeons and interventional angiologists, not forgetting the issue of amputations and proper rehabilitation of patients with diabetes. Vascular surgeons, angiologists, general surgeons, diabetologists, neurologists, radiologists, podiatrists, and general practitioners will find instructions in the book. The book is a source of the latest theoretical and practical information for postgraduate education of the above-mentioned experts.
