In 2021, the President issued Executive Order 14028 to enhance federal resilience in protecting IT systems and in March 2023, the White House issued the National Cybersecurity Strategy to outline how the administration will manage the nation’s cybersecurity. The legislation outlined requirements for federal agencies to improve their ability to identify, protect against, and respond to malicious cyber threats.
