Tissue culture of plant cells requires stable conditions for its continuous growth therefore alterations to such conditions can lead to the expression of different compounds resulting in physiological changes and growth reduction. Coffea canephora cell lines are prone to cell death upon alterations in their growing conditions. This book presents research which determines that cell communication ligated with auxin deprivation induces cell death and expression of phenolic compounds as well as DNA fragmentation. These conditions also reduce the amount to the transcription factor E2F which has been ligated to several cell cycle steps as well as in apoptosis. (Imprint: Nova Biomedical)
