Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a chronic condition that is more common in older men and it most commonly causes symptoms associated with Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and bladder outlet obstruction (BOO), and LUTS in men with BPH are a major cause of reduced quality of life in older men. Symptoms such as urinary hesitancy, incomplete bladder emptying, dribbling or prolonged urination, nocturia, urinary urgency, including the urge incontinence are common.
