Chapter 4 discusses the ability of extremophilic microorganisms to synthesize polymers with exceptional physicochemical properties, including thermal resistance, high molecular weight, mechanical stability, and biocompatibility. Finally, Chapter 5 compares the intermolecular interactions in three benzoselenadiazole derivatives: (1) phenyl-substituted (BSeB), (2) thiophene-substituted (TSeT), and (3) selenophene-substituted (SSeS) by using CrystalExplorer software.
