This volume contains eight chapters that detail advances in health and disease. Chapter One provides a comprehensive review on the physicochemical, pharmacological and pharmacokinetic properties of paracetamol. Chapter Two reports about simulated microgravity, its effects on different organs of a healthy body, and its role in various types of diseases. Chapter Three discusses vitamin D and its relationship with nephrotoxic drugs. Chapter Four describes the epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis (classification), and treatment of patients with hypertrophic pachymeningitis related to antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody associated vasculitis. Chapter Five reviews the current scientific data regarding the genetic causes and novel genes involved in various abnormalities of sex development disorders. The authors in Chapter Six report their clinical experience with poly-methyl-methacrylate for a novel in vivo bone defect closure in various neurosurgical operations. Chapter Seven provides a detailed comparison of multiple studies that were conducted using a variety of approaches with the goal of preventing drug-drug interaction (DDI) responses, which are a form of adverse pharmaceutical reactions. Lastly, Chapter Eight covers upcoming nanotechnological methods and updates on liposomal research.
