This book focuses on advances in energy research. Chapter 1 focuses on enhancing the stability of gaseous fuel combustion in low-emission combustion chambers (CCs) of stationary gas turbine engines (GTEs) through plasma-chemical effects on mixing processes and chemical kinetics. Chapter 2 delves into the world of solar cells, focusing on the remarkable advancements that pave the way for a clean energy future. Chapter 3 analyzes a sustainable energy management strategy for green hydrogen production using hydropower. Chapter 4 discusses Ghana’s significant economic advancement from 2005 to 2015, largely due to the structural adjustment programs implemented in the 1980s. Chapter 5 focuses on the potential of hydrogen as a fuel for combined heat and power (CHP) applications powered by natural gas and its potential to provide clean, CO2 emission-free power and fuels for various applications in the transport, manufacturing, and building industries. Chapter 6 concerns the digitization of the operation of a photovoltaic (PV) solar cooker, in order to maximize its efficiency, monitor its use and make it more reliable. Finally, Chapter 7 is aimed at the application of solar-powered systems and the partial shading condition (PSC).
