This volume contains eight chapters that detail advances in chemistry research. Chapter One reviews uranium dioxide powder synthesis, pressing, and sintering. Chapter Two presents the research results of the design of bifunctional metal-oxide and zeolite catalysts based on correlation dependences. Chapter Three explains the steps involved in the design and evaluation of a bifunctional catalyst to be used in the production of a valuable product starting from a convenient raw material involving different consecutive catalytic reactions. Chapter Four compares organic and inorganic energy storage materials in lithium batteries and provides various examples of the advantages and disadvantages of these materials. Chapter Five is an authentic, thorough and interpretative study of clinical as well as synthetic importance of chalcones. Chapter Six discusses the structure and chemistry of various quinol ethers of p-benzoquinonedioxime. Chapter Seven discusses the applications of citric acid in textile chemical processing, i.e., the preparatory process, dyeing, and finishing of textiles. Lastly, Chapter Eight reports a simple, practical and solvent-free protocol for the synthesis of sulfonyl hydrazides from readily available starting materials and cheap solid support.
