ABSTRACT
These days, the issue of heart disease in young and old people has been increasing for many reasons in daily life. Recently, medical science, such as digital healthcare systems like the Internet of Things (IoT) medical sensors, has successfully improved healthcare. However, these technologies, such as real-time heart monitoring based on distributed technologies, offer novel real-time heart monitoring in smart cities. However, security is the key issue in the digital heart rate monitoring system for applications. In this paper, we present a secure heart rate monitoring system in smart cities based on data from patient devices. In the heart rate monitoring system, we integrate the different methods of secure IoT heart monitoring (SIOTHM), secure heart rate monitoring system (SHCMS) and real-time heart monitoring (RSHCMS) for heart detection in terms of four key performance metrics. Correct heart detection: This metric measures how accurately each method can identify heart rate values in real-time IoT data. Based on the bar chart, RSHCMS appears to achieve the highest percentage of correct detections. The simulation results show that the proposed methodology in the system performed more securely and optimally than existing technologies.
