Ever since the book Offenders No More was published by Nova Publishers, which I wrote Chapter One, my self esteem has risen and I started feeling like a human being!!  My voice was heard. I also, wrote my book, “A Life Worth Dying For – The Jim Mandelin Story – 2012.”

I love the restorative justice approach to many of the crimes that get committed.  It is important to always look through a trauma informed lens at each of the individuals that committed these crimes. Trauma Informed basically says that one must look at an offender from a place that says: “What happened to them” rather than “What is wrong with them, why do they do this bad thing.”
